dis is sad

The cry of the seagulls woke her from her sleep and she moved slightly, to getmore comfortable within the bed, making him moan in protest. She slowlyopened her eyes and listened to the water gently lapping on the sides of theship for a few minutes. His hand moved and started to caress her thigh softly, kissing her neck gentlyShe smiled and turned over to look at him. Rohirrem was all that she couldwant in a man. Older, but agile, handsome and intelligent. He smiled at her asshe looked him and he kissed her lips gently. "what are you thinking?" hisvoice a soft whisper as he watched her blue eyes wander over his face and hishand started to glide a little higher up her thigh daringly. "nothing..." shemoaned back "Come on.. tell me what you’re thinking about..." his hand rested atthe top of her thigh, caressing the skin gently as he smiled at her."Seagulls." she replied simply. Rohirrem just looked at her, a puzzled lookcrossed his eyes and she sighed "seagulls Roh... you know what that means......"The puzzled look was replaced by that of sudden understanding.. quicklyfollowed by a look of sadness. " you still intend to leave?"" I must Roh.. my brothers there somewhere.. I have to find him."He wrapped his arms around her and held her tightly to him.... "Do you have to?"he whispered, knowing full well her answer. "Yes" Her word was barely audibleas she dipped her head to rest on his shoulder."And you won't let me help you?""Roh... You are Captain of one of the biggest ships in the continent.. youcan't just leave the ship and her crew to go looking for the brother of asilly young girl..." She smiled and looked into his face. The look was plain..he didn’t want her to leave, and maybe in his own way he thought he loved her..but she had to go... Her brother was there on the island somewhere and she hadto find him."I have to go find Ortar, and you... you must continue on to deliver the restof this cargo to Tromest..."He ran a hand through her blue-black hair softly, allowing his hand to stroke the side of her face, tracing her lips with his thumb. "Mmm.." he said before kissing her again "I'm going to miss you, you know..."She smiled, trying not to let any tears well in her eyes. "You'll find someonebetter then me Roh... After all, I am far too young to want to give anybodywhat they want..." The look on his face stopped her sentence and he placed afinger on his lips. "We'll meet again Ne'la and when we do... we'll be togetherforever."Before she could think of an answer Rohirrem rolled out of the bed and movedgently to the set of oak drawers. Ne'la watched as he dressed memorizing thecontours of his body... knowing that she was unlikely to see it again. Theripples off muscles were quickly covered however and she sighed softly"Rohirrem..."He shot her a look that told her not to pursue the argument and crossed thewooden floor and opened the cabin door. "I'm going to see how close we areto port. I suggest that you gather your things together. We don't want youforgetting anything." With that he closed the door behind him. Ne'la sighedand quickly dressed and began to pack.----------------------------------------The port was unusually quiet by Ne'la's standards. Not a soul around at all.Kind of like a ghost town. The crew of the Falcon Prince had already gone intothe village nearby, looking for the nearest tavern.Ne'la looked round the deck of the Falcon for a last time, reminiscing all thegood times she had had there and shook her head sadly. After a year of serviceon the ship she had begun to feel like she had a family at last. Of course, sheknew that she'd miss Rohirrem the most. She picked up her bag and moved to disembark when she heard his gently voicespeak to her "And you would leave without saying goodbye..." Ne'la looked roundto see him standing by the main mast, the cool sea-breeze tickling the blondecurls of his hair, brown eyes looking straight at her, not hiding any of thethings that he was thinking and feeling. The white sail of the mast flapped it'stails lazily in the breeze and Ne'la thought for a moment that The Falcon wouldrather been sailing then be in at port. She stepped towards him slowly "Youhaven't talked to me once since the cabin, Rohirrem. I thought you'd not wanta goodbye""Ne'la..." He took a step forward, closing the gap between them. Quickly hewrapped his arms round her and held her close to him. She allowed the embracefor a moment and then gently started to pull away."Don't leave me Ne""I have to"He sighed heavily "Then just let me kiss you once more then I'll let you go"He bent his head down and kissed her passionately, running his hands up anddown her back. As it ended he dropped his hands to his side. "You know I’m goingto miss you Ne.." He shook his head sadly "I have tried not to get attached to you but....."She sighed "Roh... stop... we will meet again......""If you say so..." Rohirrem smiled then turned away "go on with you. You have abrother to find" he walked away from her and opened the door to his cabin.Ne'la arranged her bag over her shoulder and sighed walking down the gangplankand away from The Falcon Prince.--------------------------------------------Rohirrem sat on the edge of the bed, staring out of the porthole windowabsentmindedly. The Sun pulled herself out from behind a cloud and shone throughthe window. As he moved his gaze, he saw something gleam on the floor and bent over to pick it up. It was a small silver locket with NA engraved on it.Gingerly he picked it up, running the chain through his fingers. Pictures of herfloating through his mind. Then... and only then did he let himself cry.
